There are times when I go on vacation, I want everything taken care of with no surprises—just pure relaxation and luxury. And that’s exactly what I get when I stay at Sandals Resorts (for adults only) or Beaches Resorts (which are perfect for families). These resorts are the definition of luxury all-inclusive, and honestly, almost everything is covered in the price. It’s a worry-free experience from start to finish.
Here’s what’s actually included — because it’s a lot:
Luxury Accommodations
You stay in beautifully-designed rooms or suites — some of them have swim-up access, private plunge pools, or even butler service if I want to go big. The mini-bar is fully stocked and refilled daily, and if you are in a higher-tier room, you get concierge or butler-level service, which makes everything feel personal and special. It’s fabulous.
Dining – All Meals Included
Every resort has anywhere from 5 to 21+ restaurants, and the variety is amazing — Italian, French, Japanese, Caribbean, Indian, and more. You never have to worry about reservations at most of them, and when you’re in a Club or Butler level room, you can order 24-hour room service. It’s gourmet dining every day, and it’s all included.
Unlimited Premium Drinks
Whether you’re at the swim-up bar, a beachside lounge, or just relaxing in the room, you have access to unlimited top-shelf liquor, wines, and cocktails. Both Sandals and Beaches serve Robert Mondavi Twin Oaks® wine as their premium house wines that are always included. It just raises the standard another notch. The in-room bar is stocked too. Especially if you are staying in a Club or Butler suite.
Water Sports – No Extra Fees
When you want to get some exercise and hit the water, go scuba diving (gear and up to 2 tanks a day if you’re certified and have a dive log), snorkeling, paddleboarding, kayaking, or sail Hobie Cats or enjoy windsurfing. Some resorts offer water skiing — and again, all of it’s included.
Land Activities
There’s always something to do. You can play tennis, beach volleyball, billiards, or shuffleboard. The fitness centers are fully equipped, and the entertainment? Think live music, beach parties, fire dancers, and more every night! Some resorts in Jamaica and Saint Lucia also offer free green fees to play nearby golf courses. (Caddies not included, but mandatory for golfers.)
Airport Transfers
From the moment you land, you’re taken care of. The resort handles roundtrip airport transfers, and if you’re in a top-tier suite, you might even get a private luxury vehicle. It’s seamless. This takes a lot of stress away, for sure. Some resorts also offer transportation to neighboring Sandals within the same town.
Tips, Taxes & Gratuities
This is one of my favorite parts — tipping, taxes, and service charges are included. You don’t need to carry your cash around the property. The only time tipping is expected is if you have a butler. Otherwise, you can just relax and not think about pulling out your wallet. Sometimes I take $2 bills on vacations and use them to tip drivers, or baggage handlers, whomever, and their reactions are priceless when you hand one out as a tip.
At Beaches Resorts – Family-Friendly Extras
When you travel with kids or extended family, Beaches Resorts are incredible. They offer:
- Kids Camps (from infants to teens)
- Sesame Street® character experiences
- Xbox lounges, DJ academies, and even waterparks with lazy rivers and slides
- Babysitting is available too (some services may cost extra), but everything’s designed with families in mind.
Free Wi-Fi
Wi-Fi is included and available everywhere — in the rooms, on the beach, in the restaurants. I’ve even done Zoom calls by the pool (not that I recommend it on vacation!).
